Why 390?

Why 390?
The idea was taken from the "3191" books, which are collections of pictures taken each day at the same time by 2 women who live in Portland, Maine and Portland, Oregon, 3191 miles apart. After my first 2 weeks of living here in Kent, OH I decided that I'd do something similar to keep the people closest to me involved in my life in some way. 390 is the combined total number of miles from Kent to Cincinnati (243 miles) and from Kent to Bowling Green (147 miles). Two place I call home, where I can find friends and family, it seems like a good way to stay connected. Because sometimes, you need to SEE what's going on, more than just a status update from Twitter or Facebook.

Well, here it is. My portion of the office. There's only 3 of us that share it, but Raquel and Terri aren't here as often as I am. I set up shop pretty quick, since I knew I'd be spending approximately 87.9430% of my life in here (the real question: factual statistic, or arbitrary? You decide!). There's colorful pictures of some of my favorite hikes/places in Colorado, pictures of some of my favorite people, friends and family, the crazy pictures my students made for me last year, candy, coffee, a BGSU Falcons cheerstick, and of course, one of the best BG News Blotters I've ever read. Oh hey, and check out all those papers and books that are starting to pile up in the wire bin, and my steady supply of caffeine. To the left of my desk are my instruments... hey, I even have my own practice room now! I can do it all from the comfort of my office! (Whether or not that's a good thing is to be debated)
